Valeria holds a degree in Clinical Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). She is also an assistant professor of the Department of Psychology of the PUCP and research assistant in the Research Group in Forensic and Penitentiary Psychology.
Current research includes Life trajectories in women incarcerated for Illicit Drug Trafficking in Penitentiary Establishments in Peru and self-management techniques of emotional health and psychological variables in women in a Penitentiary Establishment in Lima Metropolitan. Valeria also performed professional internships in the women correctional facility of Chorrillos.
Her research interests include populations in vulnerable situations, gender psychology, forensic, penitentiary and community.
