Deborah Koetzle

Deborah Koetzle is an Associate Professor and the Executive Officer of the Doctoral Program in Criminal Justice at John Jay College of Criminal Justice/CUNY. She received her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati and is a Fellow with the University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute.

Her research interests center around correctional rehabilitation, problem-solving courts, and risk/need assessment. She serves as a consultant to local, state, and federal agencies on the topic of assessment, treatment, and evaluation within institutional and community-based programs, and helped develop the National Association of Drug Court Professionals empirically based standards for adult drug courts.
