Oscar Ayzanoa is a sociologist from the University of Chile, and a Doctor in Psychology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. He has studied in a Master’s in Anthropology, and in programs of crime prevention and violence at the local level, with young people and in childhood.

Since 2005 he has been a CESC researcher, participating in various studies and evaluations of public policies in the areas of crime prevention and violence, prevention and treatment of problematic drug and alcohol consumption, prison system, criminal justice system , among other topics.
