Chloé Constant holds a PhD in Sociology from the Institute of Higher Studies in Latin America (Paris III-Sorbonne Nouvelle University). She is a researcher associated with the Center for Mexican and Central American Studies, and member of the Thematic Network of Transdisciplinary Studies on the Body and Corporalities. Between 2007 and 2014, she carried out research in the Peruvian correctional system, focusing on gender issues. Between 2014 and 2016, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana (Mexico). Her current research addresses the life trajectories of Mexican trans women and imprisoned trans bodies, in a Foucauldian and feminist perspective. She published “thinking prisons of Latin America” (2016) as well as several articles and book chapters.
